By mid-week, we can all be a little tired, a little worn-out, and a little frazzled. Some of us can be more than just a little of each! But something that can get us all up, out of bed, and ready for the day is the fact that this day was made by the Lord and given to each of us so that we may spend time with our family, make a difference in our community, progress towards our goals, and enjoy the freedom of a life lived by faith. Psalm 118 says, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” No matter what you are facing today, or the deficits you feel in facing it, choose to rejoice in knowing that the Lord made this day with you in mind and, true to His word, goes before you into it. Today, give thanks and rejoice for God’s loving goodness and mercy.
