Life gives us an infinite number of routes and countless choices each and everyday that decide those routes. The choices we make also decide the ease by which we reach our end destination. When we decide to value worldly gain over our fellow man, we do not act in a way that is righteous in the eyes of God. Righteousness, while it may not always lead to a comfortable life, will always lead to a peaceful life. God says in Isaiah, “The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.” The source of strife in life is sin. Today, if your life seems to always be moving from one war to the next, consider if your actions are consistent with God’s Word.
