One of the most challenging things in life to grasp is our purpose. Terrible frustration and bitter consequences come from incorrectly choosing our purpose – from lost time, the sorrows of failure, and the often-overlooked pain of feeling like we are not making a difference. Purpose is not easy to find, let alone fulfill. However, God has already prepared our purpose for us and every day is leading us towards fulfilling it. Even still, finding out what our purpose is can be elusive. In Ephesians, Paul writes, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” This verse tells us all we need to know about our purpose, as we are “created in Christ Jesus for good works.” If you are wondering what your purpose is, realize that it is first to do good. From there, God will show you the places to do good, the people to do it for, and the ways in which to do it. Trust in His plan. Today, if you are struggling to figure out what your purpose is, or even just what to do next in your life, choose to start doing good on behalf of Jesus and your purpose will immediately begin to become clearer.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10 ESV
