We all would rather not face adversity, if given the choice. Unfortunately, we are often not given a choice when adversity appears on our doorstep. However, in all things in life — the good and the bad — we can find God and see His hand in it. The Bible says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” Seasons of adversity are seasons of faith growth. Today, if you are facing adversity, focus on it growing your faith rather than dragging you down.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” — James 1:2-4 NIV
