We all want a more peaceful life, but if finding peace were as easy as making a decision one day to be peaceful, life would be a lot easier. However, living peacefully requires discipline and perseverance to rise above petty arguments that extend far beyond the day we made our decision. It is no small wonder why living peacefully mirrors living for Jesus. They both start with making a decision but then require discipline, perseverance, and some times even suffering, to keep the faith. The Bible says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Peaceful living requires steadfast trust in God. Today, if you are seeking a more peaceful life, make the decision to trust God and follow Jesus, and resolve to keep making that decision every day forward.
