Happy Thanksgiving! Whether we are fortunate to spend this day with family and friends or not, we each have much to be thankful for. However, it can be hard sometimes to identify all the good in our lives when we are enduring a season of hardship. But God does not allow us to endure hardship needlessly; he is building a better us and a more faithful servant if we can endure it faithfully. The Bible says, “For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.” Everything God created is for good, even if we perceive it as bad. Because of this, we are called to give thanks to God for all things in our lives. Today, give thanks for the good and the bad in your life and use today to draw nearer to God.
