Yesterday, the House Democrats and Republicans each released reports of what they believe sums up the impeachment hearings of the last few weeks. Both reports detail very different takes on the situation. But isn't that par for the course these days? Because of our political opinions, we all see the same events incredibly differently. The reason we all seem so polarized these days is because our main filter for information is our political preference instead of our sense of right and wrong. Right and wrong are real things – and not just what we believe is right or wrong but what actually is right and wrong. These two absolutes exist because God exists and He created our sense of morality. The further we stray from God, the more right and wrong become blurred. Today, pray for the Godly understanding to see things the way God sees them, not the way we want to see them.

“Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.” – Psalm 119:34 ESV
