The House Judiciary Committee held its own impeachment hearings yesterday and the news naturally revolved around its analysis. In watching the hearings and the reactions, it is apparent to anyone that this nation has way too much anger and resentment that is affecting the way we approach things. When we allow our anger to dictate our actions, it will not be long before our actions ruin us. The Bible speaks to this, saying, “In your anger do not sin” : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” When we give all of ourselves to Christ, including our anger, he prevents us from giving full vent to it elsewhere. Today, if you find yourself stewing over what is going on in our nation, give your anger to Christ and allow his peace to rule your heart.
