The season of birth that is Christmastime is an invitation to all mankind. Our Savior’s birth heralded the good news for this world and his dying breath 33 years later created new life in all of us. But that new life is not forced upon us, it is the new life we get to choose. We can choose to be born again, with our slates wiped clean, in Jesus’ name and through his sacrifice. While we do not have to make this decision in order to live out the remainder of our days on earth, we do if we want to live for eternity in Heaven. Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” Today, choose to be born again and experience new life.
