Happy Resurrection Day! Though this year we are all celebrating a bit differently than in the past, that does not change the miracle and gift that Jesus gave to the world through his death and resurrection. With the world currently on “pause,” and many, many people suffering because of it, it can feel like a death in need of a resurrection. Know today that, by nature, Jesus is a riser. He rises above our expectations every time, and this struggle we are all going through is no different. He will rise above it. Today, give thanks to Jesus for dying for our sins and believe that he will rise again above this current world struggle.

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. But he has risen! He is not here! See the place where they had put him. Go! Tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. It will be just as he told you.’ ” — Mark 16:6-7 NIV
