There is a simmering anger and frustration present across the country in certain places because of the economic pain being inflicted on the nation from this pandemic. Anger is a normal human thing to feel, but how we express it is what matters. In James, it says "human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." When we indulge our anger and act from it, sin always follows. Jesus is on the side of the weak, the oppressed, the hurting, and the subjugated, but when we in anger lash out at what or whom we perceive to be hurting us, we do not work with Jesus but against Him. Today, pray for the nation that we would find a way to recover economically and keep people healthy, as well as not allow anger to boil over in our society.

"because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." -- James 1:20 NIV
