The nation is debating re-opening strategies, with some arguing for continued lockdown, some in the middle with phased re-openings, and some on the other side arguing for complete re-opening. Life is difficult because it is nuanced – there usually is never a clear right answer in such important and complex situations. We are all entitled to our opinions and to advocate for them as we wish; however, it is important that we, as a nation, not lose the solidarity we have embraced over the last two months. Romans says, “Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.” We do not have to all agree on the issues to agree to treat each other with respect, love, and kindness. Today, pray for our nation’s leaders and our nation’s well-being. Ask the Lord to help those in need and bring the good out of this crisis that we know He is planning.

“Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.”– Romans 15:5
