The history of race relations in our nation has been both tragic and encouraging at different times. History shows, though, that the one thing that always underpinned the entire movement for Civil Rights and better race relations was a firm belief in the morality and teachings of Jesus. That is, until today. It is difficult to tell who, in this present time, is leading the movement and to what end. The nation is needing strong Biblical leadership — the kind that is led by the Holy Spirit and not political polls. Galatians says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.“ Spirit-led movements will always accomplish what political movements cannot — the changing of hearts. Today, pray for Biblical and Spirit-led leadership in this challenging time for our country.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 NIV
