Big in the news this week is Former Vice President Biden’s decision on his running mate. Choices of that magnitude are not easy to come to and making the choice is only the first hard part – living with the choice is equally, if not more, challenging. The same is true for all of us in life when it comes to big decisions. What comes after the decision matters more than what leads up to it, but we often focus our decision by what “feels right” in the moment. Jesus taught, “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” What feels right is seldom what is right. Today, if you are facing a decision, put aside feelings and pray for clarity to see the narrow gate versus the wide.
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” – Matthew 7:13-14 ESV
