We all at times wish we were stronger, smarter, or more capable. Whether it is at work, as parents, or as friends, we all sometimes wish we could do more. If this is frustrating to you, remember that this is by God’s own design. He did not mean for all of us to be strong enough to live without the help of anyone else, and especially without Him! Paul said it this way, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” We do not have to be everything to everyone; in fact, it is better that we are not. Jesus gets the glory when we are not strong enough to live life by ourselves. Today, if you are finding yourself wishing you could do more or be more, remember that we can all do so in Jesus.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.“ — 2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV
