Since most consider Labor Day Weekend as the last “official” weekend of summer, that means the fall and the election season is truly here. Prayer for our leaders and country is incredibly necessary. When we pray for more than just our own wants or needs, we create real change rather than just receive what we need to get through the day. In James, it says, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” Praying for each other has two effects: it lifts others up to God and lifts our eyes off our own desires and problems. Today, pray for our nation and its leaders.
