The passing of Justice Ginsberg has set up a big political fight on top of the presidential election, bringing the volume of this political rancor to a new level. There will be much said by both sides over the coming weeks, and even after the election. Much of it will be there to incite us to action, anger, or at the very least, engagement in the political process. Engaging in the political process is good, but not when we do it from a place of anger though. The Bible says, “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” In the days ahead, choose compassion.

“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” — 1 Peter 3:8 ESV
