There’s been a lot in the news in the past years, as well as recently, to cause alarm, stress, and frustration. At some point, most of us have likely thought to ourselves, “Where do we go from here?” When we look for encouragement in the Bible, one of the best places to look are Paul’s letters. He wrote to churches across the region for many reasons, but one was to encourage them in their faith. He opens his letter to the Philippians this way: “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” The answer to the question, “Where do we go from here?” Is this: Forward into the person God has created us to be. Because Jesus has begun something in each of us, and we can be sure that he is not yet done with any of us, that means two things: we have a future and we will be called upon in the future to do His work. Today, be encouraged that because Jesus is not done with any of us, that there will be a brighter future because of His work within each of us.
