As we begin a new week, many of us carry the stresses of last week into today. As much as we strive to keep positive, there are always things in our lives that we wish were different, we wish would be blessed, or that we wish we did not have to endure. However, we all strive for growth in life. God does not allow his faithful to remain in the same place forever because if we are not continuing to grow, we are not able to reach others for God. It is in our growth and learning that we become more faithful as well as better equipped to counsel others. On the flip side of this growth is that fact that not everything in our lives can be good, beautiful, or joyful at any one time. The fact that we have areas of our lives that are in need of attention, prayer, faith, and action is a sign from God that we have growing to do. In Ecclesiastes, it says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” While we continue to grow and learn through life, trust that God will make everything beautiful in its time. Today, instead of viewing your problems and stressors as negative things in your life, view them as opportunities God has given you to grow and learn.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV
